Where you eat, when you travel, what you treat, which pharmacy you use, what you earn and when. Read together, a year of transactions describes a life in uncomfortable detail.
Plenty of finance apps require an account before you can log a single expense, then sync everything to a server by default. Sometimes that is the product. Sometimes it is the business model.
Local-first is the alternative: the data lives on your device, backed up on your device, exportable by you, and synced only if you explicitly ask for it.
Tarsi works with no account at all. Nothing leaves your phone unless you turn on Tarsi Cloud, and you can export everything as CSV or JSON whenever you like.
